Finally scrounged the time to give this a try using this tute over at Polymer Clay Tutor using a piece of my son’s artwork. Middle: first test on a thin slab of faux wood veneer with black acrylic. Right: dark wood veneer with guilders paste. Left: translucent clay with acrylic and alcohol inks. In all [...]
Here’s the card I drew for my valentine this year.
Currently out on my table are a couple of things I made for the Friesen Project. Did pendants instead of mirrors cuz… I didn’t have a mirror to use. The smaller one on the right incorporates a small clay snake that Jessie made for me. Can’t wait to wear it! Not sure what I’m gonna [...]
Been busy and not feeling up to blogging lately. But last minute decided to do this week’s Diva Challenge. The idea came from Jessie’s history lesson today. Saw the illustration of the Great Serpent Mound in Ohio and thought it would make a great fit for this week’s challenge.

She’s got a “Create Art Portfolio Ideas” course online… for free! So I may be shifting media for a bit while I give [...]
Here’s a ZIA I’ve been working on since Sunday. I was inspired by a drawing of a Tlingit Indian crow mask (in one of Jessie’s history books). Not done yet. But happy with it so far. And happy to feel inspired!
Another busy week! Managed a little bit every day though. This is my second post inspired by Leah over at Creative Every Day. Be sure to explore that link! Lots of amazing creativity going on.
