Sam da Fisherman

Oh man what a fishing experience! We fished until 9:30 pm. I neglected to bring flashlights so that was interesting because I could not see a thing!

Sam made the haul tonight. A catfish (caught right as we were leaving) and a bass caught an hour before. He is quite pleased and his sister is miffed that his fish are bigger than hers. ;)

Thankfully I picked up an inexpensive fillet knife today. I think it helped a little. ;)

They want to go back tomorrow evening too. O_o

Too tired to type more… must. sleep. now.

Jessie’s Latest Catch

Here’s the picture of the fish Jessie caught today. Yes, she’s quite proud of herself. ;)

We Did It ALL

Today’s agenda: dog park, people park, lunch, swimming, dinner, fishing.

Yep. We did all that in one day.

Went to Bass Pro before fishing to pick up minnows. They were out so
the nice gentleman at the counter gave us 4 ginourmous goldfish…
free because they were out of those minnows.

How did he know that Jessie would catch a good sized bass (on a
rickety old pole) with one of them? I think it was a scam. ;)

So now we have to go fishing tomorrow… with goldfish… to catch
more bass ‘coz you can’t have a fish fry with just one fish.

Yep, I’ve been scammed.

PS… would have a picture but I used my phone and can’t seem to get
it to connect to the new puter. :\

Birds, Homeschooling and Milestones

Some quickie notes…

Instead of all grey, baby wren is showing lots of brown! He/she is also showing signs of wren-y attitude. LOL!

The 2008-2009 school year is now officially over. We’re all ready to relax… well some of us will get to. Me… I gotta get to planning out the 2009-2010 year!

Yesterday was our 17th wedding anniversary. Celebrated with a 6 mile run and Sparky’s icecream. Perfect! Last year we ran 5 miles. Next year…?

Today I met my goal weight of 150! Tonight I’ll be doing my victory dance (a Guinness) and looking for a 10k to run. :)

Growing and growing

It is a whole different feel when you peek into the nest and the baby bird is staring back at you! LOL!

Stay tuned for life cycle pictures of the Tussock moth. Jessie wants to keep the pair that just ecclosed last night. :\ After the urticating hairs incident, I have mixed feelings about this.

Getting Up to Speed

Am pulling files off the old computer via a thumb drive. Woot! Doing
it as fast as I can in case it suddenly decides to stop recognizing
the USB ports… again.

Baby Wren is getting bigger!

New computer set up continues. Going to give Open Office a try. Thought I’d share the latest picture of our baby wren. Amazing to watch how fast he/she grows!

New Computer

The new computer has arrived! Looking forward to getting it set up (I
think). Looking forward more to getting everything off of the old dead
one. :\
