Jocy passed away today. We burried her in the backyard next to a tiny cedar sapling.
Sam was a trooper and petted her one last time. He and Jocy were the closest, I think. This is really his first experience with the death of a pet he was close to. He has a big heart and is holding up well. Initially he did not want to see her or help. I am proud of him.
I don’t think Jessie quite understands, though she was there for the burial. She did pet Jocy one last time too.
So, to celebrate (yes, celebrate) her memory, we’ve planted plants, rescued a skink from the plastic pond and had lunch out. We will certainly miss our Jocy.
Oh honey, I’m so sorry to hear about Jocy! Hang in there…she’ll always be a part of you. I’m going to give my kitties extra scritchies tonight in memory of Jocy. {{{hugs}}}
Always remember she chose YOUR FAMILY. As I recall she was a stray. I believe she knew she had limited time here on earth and chose a family who would love and cherish her.
Hugs to all of you, especially to my boy!

Ah, she was a very beautiful kitty. My condolences.
We are cat people here in our family. We know the pain of losing a beloved pet. We lost our cat last year and it took some time to feel okay but we did. We now have two new members of our family…..two black hunters who snuggle at the end of the day….
Sorry to hear of your lose,
Barb

~hugs~ May Bastet keep her and you safe, until She finds you another guardian.
